Jasmine Atkins

Chief of Staff

Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Jasmine completed her B.A. in English at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro in 2014. In 2018, Jasmine received her paralegal certificate from the University of North Carolina. With years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she is currently the Executive Assistant to Dr. Moore. While Jasmine does not have close personal connections to marine science, she fully stands behind the mission of Black in Marine Science (BIMS) to not only address the STEM learning gap, but to close it in the process.
