Why do you need the salary range?
Decades of pay inequalities have greatly affected Black communities and we won't perpetuate that in our materials to our community. We have made a commitment to them to provide resources with information to make the best possible decision if the time should be spent on the application process. We hope you understand and support us in our commitment to uphold transparency in wages and dismantle pay inequalities.
What opportunities do you have?

Why is it called Black In Marine Science and why do we need diversity in marine science (check out this #BIMSHall segment for more information)?
•We are an organization comprised of Black marine scientists who strive to amplify Black marine scientists, spread environmental awareness and inspire the next generation. We have created a safe space for Black folks who just want to enjoy nature like everyone else.
•The field of marine science is largely dominated by white folks. We often hear that Black marine scientists don’t exist. We are here to prove that we do in fact exist as well as amplify and lift each other up. Diversity in people increases diversity in thought which in turn creates better science.
