Jenae Harper is a community program manager and ecosystem builder with over a decade of experience designing and leading engagement strategies across corporate, nonprofit, and startup environments. Her work focuses on building scalable programs that foster connection, belonging, and meaningful participation, particularly within underrepresented communities. She has led initiatives spanning employee experience, onboarding, and community engagement, with a background that includes roles supporting large-scale programs at companies like Microsoft and Google.
In addition to her corporate experience, Jenae is the founder of Thanks for Coming Events, where she specializes in planning and producing intentional gatherings that prioritize thoughtful design, seamless logistics, and authentic connection. Her work reflects a multidisciplinary approach that blends program management, community strategy, and event production to create impactful experiences both in-person and online. At Black in Marine Science (BIMS), Jenae serves as Community Engagement Manager, where she leads efforts to strengthen member experience, improve onboarding and retention, and expand opportunities for connection across the network. Her role focuses on developing systems and programs that support member growth, increase accessibility to resources, and deepen engagement within the BIMS community. |
