We're seeking engaging 60 or 90-minute workshops that ignite innovation and inspire action. Whether you're passionate about cutting-edge research, effective education strategies, hands-on experiences, social media savvy, or cultivating joy and well-being, we want to hear from you.
What's in it for You? As a token of our appreciation, each accepted proposal will receive a $500 stipend, along with complimentary conference registration and two nights of hotel accommodation at the luxurious Paradise Point. Don't Miss the Wave! The deadline for submissions is August 20th. |

Calling all filmmakers, storytellers, and ocean enthusiasts! Black in Marine Science (BIMS) is thrilled to host a film festival celebrating the brilliance, resilience, and passion of Black marine scientists as a part of BIMS Week 2024 (December 1 - 7). Submit your short films (5-30 mins) showcasing the ocean's depths, scientific discovery, and the power of representation. Festival Date: December 6th | Location: Paradise Point Resort and Spa, San Diego, CA Don't miss this opportunity to make waves! Submit your short film today and join us in celebrating BIMS Week 2024. We will close submissions on 10/20/2024. We will let you know if your short film has been chosen for our film festival by 10/31/2024.
